Packages to Shanghai F1 Grand Prix Announced

Tour company Wheels For Fun is offering ticket and accomodation bundles for the first Formula One race in China

By Hadi Soedarsono

FERRARI has won the Formula One Constructors’ title and chances are, it won’t be long before Michael Schumacher wraps up a record seventh drivers’ championship title. However, that should not discourage those of you who plan to visit Shanghai for its Grand Prix debut.

There’s still the fierce scrap between the drivers and teams to be the best of the rest, and the Shanghai International Circuit is probably the most hi-tech racetrack of the season.

Designed by the same architect of the Sepang F1 Circuit, Hermann Tilke, the 5.4km long track resembles the Chinese character ‘shang’ and it’s surrounded by grandstands with the shape of traditional Chinese pavilions at the ancient Yuyan Garden in Shanghai.

As expected tickets and hotels are reportedly going fast, but Wheels For Fun has managed to secure the most sought after Platinum tickets (grandstand seats) and package them in a four-day-three-
night Shanghai Grand Prix getaway.

Accommodation will be at the five-star Regal International East Asia Hotel, which is located near the city centre. Airfare, breakfast and transfers to and from Shanghai International Circuit are included in the package.

Single and twin sharing packages are going for $3,499 and $2,499 respectively and the tour leaves Singapore on September 24th and returns on the 27th. Contact Wheels For Fun at 6235-2591 or e-mail them at enquiry@wheelsforfun.com.sg for more details.
