No 115bhp Focus for Local Market

.

WITH REGARDS TO last issue’s article “Focus off to strong start” that reported on the recent launch of the Ford Focus, we were mistaken in mentioning that “A more powerful, 115bhp version (but also powered by a 1.6-litre engine) will join the range around September”.

A spokesman for local Ford importer, Regent Motors, said that there are no plans to offer the 115bhp, 1.6-litre Focus for the Singapore market mainly because this variant is not available with an automatic gearbox. Instead the only engine variant for the time being is the 100bhp 1.6-litre unit.

We sincerely apologise for any confusion over the matter.
