Team Petronas Syntium contested the sixth round of the Asian Touring Car Championships (ATCC) in grand style, winning both the races that were held at the Goldenport circuit in Beijing.

This is the Malaysian team’s first full-fledged season in the ATCC and the clean sweep in Beijing didn’t come easily.

The problems, according to team principal David Wong, were considerable, “there was a small accident when Fariqe went off early during practise, we had to change the engine on Mashlino’s car, we swapped the gearbox no less than four times for Syahrizal’s car.”

The three Team PSP drivers dominated the podiums in both the Division One and Division Two classes.

Added Wong, “Beijing was an unforgettable weekend for us. We set ourselves high targets and really had to work very hard to achieve them. The three drivers have really done the team proud.”
