PETRONAS-SPONSORED TEAM PSP put in another excellent performance during the Korean leg of the 2005 Asian Touring Car Championships. Conditions at the Taebaek circuit during the race weekend earlier this month ranged from torrential downpours to scorching heat, however the three Team PSP drivers between them managed a second place finish for the first race and first- as well as third-place finishes in the second.
The three Team PSP cars accumulated considerable amounts of damage on the track after the first race, according to the team, but a determined effort by the crew saw the Malaysian outfit fielding a trio of freshly-repaired, near showroom condition cars for the second race.
According to team principal David Wong, it “was really a test of the team’s preparation, determination and perseverance. I’m very happy with the way the team bounced back after race one. I think the three drivers have really done a good job this weekend, and the championship points they have all brought back were hard fought and well deserved.”
