TOYOTA WILL UNVEIL the third generation of its evergreen RAV4 SUV to the world at this month’s Frankfurt Motor Show. Very little has been revealed so far, save for the fact that the car will feature significantly improved performance, as well as a larger and more refined interior.

The styling doesn’t mark a radical departure from current RAV4 themes, but the new car does exhibit more pronounced surface detailing. The wheel arches and sills appear to be more aggressively flared, and the nose has received a subtle tweak, most prominently in the form of gently resculpted headlamps. Expect the new RAV4 to make it here in early 2006.
