Mazda MX-5 2.0 (A)
October 22, 2005

Five Alive

The MX-5’s interior is uniformly excellent, with plenty of leather and very high-quality plastics used throughout. The dashboard architecture is clean and uncluttered, and features a classy, high-gloss, piano-black panel running the length of the dash. The seats are on the firm side of comfortable but they do offer plenty of support. There are also useful cubbyholes between and behind both the seats.

The MX-5’s climate control system deserves special mention as it boasts an open-top mode, a thoughtful touch, especially with the local weather. Other luxury items include a Bose stereo that also has open and closed roof modes, as well as controls for the same on the steering wheel.
