New Civic Lands in Local Showrooms
Buyers get a sneak preview of the latest version of Honda’s acclaimed sedan

IF YOU’RE ANXIOUS to take a gander at Honda’s latest Civic, local distributor, Kah Motor, has a couple of examples already on display, over a month shy of the car’s official launch. Prices have already been set and these start at $71,000 with COE for the base 1.8-litre manual model, rising to $80,000 for the top-of-the-line 2.0-litre version.
The models on display are Japanese-spec only, however, and were specially brought in to whet local buyers’ appetites. They will be returned to Japan when the ‘official’ local cars arrive at the end of this month. As such no test drives will be available as yet, but this gives prospective customers a good chance to see and get a feel of the car before putting in their orders.
According to a Kah Motor spokesperson, a healthy number of orders have already been taken for the new Civic, with roughly 75 percent of buyers going for the 1.8-litre model. Deliveries are expected to begin in January next year.
