THIS YEAR’S SUBARU Team Challenge was decided after “just” 64 hours and 31 minutes. With the new format, teams were only as strong as their weakest member. The winning couple, Koh Meng Khoon and Lung Wen Jie, walked away with a Subaru Impreza 1.6 TS each. The cars were worth a total of $120,000. Quizzed about their wining strategy, Koh said that in order, “to win the cars, we needed to break last year’s record so we kept telling ourselves and each other we had to hang on.”

“We hope the Challenge this year has helped foster closer ties, better relationships and new friendships. I would like to congratulate all the contestants for putting up a good fight,” said Glenn Tan, chief executive of Motor Image.

In other news, Subaru held a launch event for the new Legacy GT Wagon and Outback 2.5i at Restaurant 1827 at Old Parliament House last Wednesday. The event was co-hosted by Singapore Tatler where guests had the opportunity to view the latest additions to Subaru’s family, while enjoying good food and wine.
