LAST WEEKEND, A convoy of Subarus made its way from the marque’s Leng Kee Road premises to the spanking new $25 million Subaru Hub in Toa Payoh. Local distributor, Motor Image Enterprises’ existing showrooms in Ubi and Leng Kee will continue to serve customers but they’ll be renamed Subaru @ Ubi and Subaru @ Leng Kee respectively.
The new flagship facility at Toa Payoh boasts nearly 227,000 square feet of floor space, spread over six storeys. The first of its kind in the region, the Subaru Hub will constitute a one-stop facility for new car sales, parts and servicing. There are also specially designated areas showcasing the latest in kit from Subaru
performance specialists, ProDrive and STi.
There’s also an Audio Room for customers to pick the audio system that best suits their preferences as well as a drive-through roof-top garden, the latter specially designed to showcase Subaru’s Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive technology. Petrolheads get a dynamometer, and to emphasise Subaru Hub’s special focus on customers, there’s also a new Test Drive Bay, designed to help shorten test drive waiting times, as well as a dedicated new car delivery area.
