Borneo Announces Prices for the New Yaris

Local distributor is looking to the end of February for a tentative launch date

By Nick Syn

WHY SHOULD YOU be excited? Well for starters, the Yaris is one of the cutest compact hatchbacks available now and it’s a Toyota, so that means bomb-proof reliability and peace of mind. The car is assembled in Thailand, and a pre-production model is currently available for viewing in Borneo Motors’ Leng Kee Road showroom.

In terms of spec, the Yaris’ 1.5-litre engine develops 109bhp, making it one of the most powerful units in this class, and interior room, based on preliminary observation, is very generous. Prices have been set at $55,988 for the manual version, and $57,988 for the automatic including COE. There’s also a high-spec automatic version available, listing for $59,988 with COE.
