One for sun-seekers

ROOF The electric top does its stuff in 22 seconds, and works at up to 50km/h

INTERIOR Plenty of legroom for adults back there, but shoulder room is pretty tight

BOOT Folding the soft top leaves space for two golf bags and a small suitcase

If you love the sun it’s worth bearing in mind that there are larger and more refined convertibles out there, but if care about the driving experience that accompanies your dose of Vitamin D, the 125i Convertible should top your list.

That said, on a broader scale the BMW has only left us eager for more of what the 1 Series has to offer. Given how the Convertible drives, imagine what the stiffer, lighter variants must be like…
