Based on performance per dollar alone the STi has absolutely no rivals. Subaru could probably have got away with keeping the equipment list short, yet the car comes with xenon headlamps, cruise control, automatic air-con and an integrated audio system as standard.

So although it doesn’t look particularly upmarket inside, there are no basic creature comforts you really miss out on either.
