INTERIOR The cabin is expansive, well-presented and nicely put together

REAR Tidy rear end is a tad conservative, but hides an enormous boot



Nissan Cefiro 2.3 (A) $100,500 with COE
Big and crammed with high tech goodies, the Cefiro’s 2.3-litre V6 engine gives it an edge over the four-cylinder engined of its competition, but this is a car that you’ll just want to drive is a straight line because cornering performance is woolly at best.

Toyota Camry 2.4 (A) $99,988 with COE
You can’t talk about big Japanese cars here without mentioning the Camry. It’s reasonably affordable for its size and very plush inside, making it the car for owners who want reliable, fuss-free transport. But it isn’t as entertaining to drive as the Accord is.
