BMW 1 Series 130i (A)

The 1 you want

Remember the BMW 316i Compact that was sold here back in the 1990s? It was the most affordable way to get into a BMW back then, but the car was snobbed by many purists here who felt that it was too poorly equipped to be considered a real BMW luxury car. Not surprising, when you consider the fact that it was marketed as a decently affordable runabout back in Europe rather than a full blown lux-mobile.

The 130i (and much of the other 1-Series cars) that we’re getting here attempts to change that, and comes with a high level of standard equipment to please the local BMW buying segment though the simple dial-operated air conditioner looks a tad out of place in such a high spec car.
