Chana Benni 1.3

The Benni’s first show

The Benni is pretty well screwed together though there is room for improvement especially where the interior panels are concerned. The plastics covering the driver’s side seatbelt on the test car sprung loose while the Benni was being reviewed and attempts to push it back in were futile.

Materials used on the dashboard are of the hard and unyielding variety but feels robust enough to stand up to the rigours of everyday use. However the aircon vents felt stiffer than expected.

Passenger space in the Benni is pleasantly large. All front and rear occupants have ample head and leg room. Those sitting in the back can comfortably tuck their feet under the front seats which are raised adding to the feeling of spaciousness.

The boot is nice and rectangular. It also has a rear parcel shelf which shields items left in there from prying eyes. A low loading sill means that putting things in is not a back breaking affair.
