The company is confident that sales will pass 1,250 units this year

By Justin Lee

AUDI SINGAPORE RECENTLY released its first half sales figures for this year. A total of 646 cars were sold from January to June 2008 which represent a 41 percent increase in sales over the same period in 2007.

The new A4 mid-size sedan accounted for 70 units of the brand’s total number of registrations in June.

Sales for the recently launched A5 and S5 coupe have been promising with the latter making up 51 percent of the total bookings for the range.

Audi Singapore managing director Reinhold Carl believes that a car is an extension of one’s lifestyle and speaks volumes about its owner which is why he feels that Audi’s positioning as a sporty, progressive and sophisticated brand is beginning to resonate with a growing group of drivers in Singapore.

Mr Carl revealed the TTS coupe and RS6 station wagon are slated for local introduction in October and the A4 Avant station wagon will also be introduced by the fourth quarter of this year.
