Volkswagen Golf GT $X with COE
Priced slightly higher than the 308, the Golf GT has a great twin-charged engine. Ride and handling is one of the best in its class and eclipses the 308. The only thing going against it is that there is a new model coming soon.

Fiat Bravo T-Jet $X with COE
The Fiat Bravo is well built, stylish and a credible alternative to the 308 though its appeal is hampered by the lack of an automatic gearbox. It drives well and the manual gearbox though long in throw has a positive feel that makes changing gears a breeze. The T-Jet engine is also quite a performer and is smooth and responsive.
