Not exactly Formula One, but close enough… |

ENGINE 2.0-litre engine is strong all the way to the redline
INTERIOR Except for a few added items, dashboard looks no different from the standard Clio

In true European sportscar tradition, all the fun bits are hidden beneath the bodywork, which actually looks tame next to its Far-eastern counterparts. But there is real substance to the whole package, and after all it was tuned by the same bunch of people whole developed Renault’s Championship winning Formula One cars. Drivers who are in-the-know will pull up next to you at the traffic lights and give you a thumbs up, while the clueless boy racers will stare at it and try to figure out what is it exactly. The R27’s interior build quality could have been improved upon though, as paying more than $100,000 and having to stare at what is essentially the same dashboard as the one found in a standard Renault Clio can feel quite uninspiring.
