LOCAL KIA DISTRIBUTOR Cycle & Carriage Kia has launched the new Cerato Forte mid-size sedan on Friday, February 20 at Ngee Ann City Civic Plaza.
The lead up to the car’s debut and its public presentation underscored just how important this new model is to its local agent.
Besides the specially built temporary showcase that houses the cars during the launch from February 20-21, a teaser campaign comprising guerrilla, outdoor, press and radio ads, viral videos, website and even snippets on numerous blogs and forums was used to generate interest.
Jardine Cycle & Carriage CEO for group motor operations, Cheah Kim Teck said: “We have full confidence that this car will be well-received.”
Cycle & Carriage Kia senior manager of Kia operations, Chin Kee Min added, “More than 200 customers have placed bookings for the Cerato Forte before the launch, some without proper viewing of the car and without testdrives. We’ve never seen such interest in Kia cars previously, not to mention in these supposedly bad economic times.”
With the debut of the new Cerato Forte, the next model in Kia’s product pipeline is the Soul urban crossover vehicle which will be launched here within the next few months.
