LOOKS MATTER The Cayenne GTS Porsche Design Edition 3 looks menacing

THE CAYENNE GTS Porsche Design Edition 3 is a limited edition model that has been given a cosmetic reworking by the Porsche Design Studio which specialises in product and industrial design.

With only 1000 units available worldwide, the highlights of the car’s exterior features include a special Lava Grey Metallic paintwork, a sports exhaust system, stripes along the side and on the bonnet and 21 inch alloy wheels. It also gets bi-xenon headlamps and privacy glass for the rear windows. Available as a no cost option is an extended roof spoiler.

Under the bonnet, the Cayenne GTS Porsche Design Edition 3 gets the same 405bhp 4.8-litre V8 and standard six-speed automatic as found in the Cayenne GTS. Performance figures are also identical it gets from 0-100km/h in 6.5 seconds and onto a top speed of 250km/h.

Inside, the cabin gets black leather upholstery, a multi-function steering wheel and electrically adjustable sports seats. Also included is a Bose 5.1 Surround Sound System with 14 speakers and an overall output of 410W.

To show off the car’s special status, the ‘Porsche Design Edition 3′ wordings have been emblazoned on the rev counter and the front door sill kick plates. There is also a plaque in the glove compartment with the serial number of the car embossed on the surface.

Complementing the car are a specially designed Porsche Design Chronograph watch and a four piece luggage set which are optional accessories.

A representative from local Porsche distributor Stuttgart Auto says the Cayenne Porsche Design Edition 3 will make its way here in the second half of the year.
