Chevrolet gets a bigger and better home
Full fledged 3S Chevrolet Centre aims to better serve customers’ needs

CHEVROLET HAS ANNOUNCED plans to open a Chevrolet Centre in the Ubi motor belt run by dealer Alpine Motors. The brand currently has showrooms in Bukit Timah and Novena with a service centre in Kaki Bukit.
The news comes just a few weeks after Alpine Motors was appointed as the sole dealer for Chevy cars in Singapore. This move ends the two dealership system implemented in 2006 with the first dealer Starsauto - which held the franchise since 2003 - exiting the business.
Scheduled to be unveiled in August with a preview of the place starting next week, this full fledged ‘3S’ facility which is refurbished at a cost of $1.5 million (3S stands for Sales, Service, Spare Parts) used to be occupied by Ford distributor Regent Motors. Interestingly, the Chevrolet Centre is located a few doors down from the old Starsauto showroom.
It will be the largest Chevrolet showrooms in the region with a display area for 10 cars. There is also a 24 bay service centre. In addition, customers can browse through a showcase displaying the latest accessories and assorted memorabilia.
Managing Director of General Motors Overseas Distribution Corporation in Singapore, Mr Kittichai says the Chevrolet Centre will offer an outstanding end-to-end experience to customers, and underscores GM’s commitment to extend Chevrolet’s presence here.
