Ghost in the machine

Fast Facts
Verdict:
Roar roar roar, stomp stomp stomp – Godzilla’s the most car you can buy for money
Insane performance to price ratio, can be civil if you need to be
First gear jerk, rear seats only good for shopping, bumpy ride

The GT-R is an unquestionably quick machine but does it have requisite supercar soul?

WHAT IS THERE left to say about the Nissan GT-R R35, aka Godzilla? Well the numerous awards won speak for themselves but what we can give you is the story of how it performs here – and no, it’s close, but it’s not too big for the island.

The GT-R was launched in Japan in December 2007 and unleashed upon the rest of the world shortly after. While parallel imports made landfall shortly after, the official export version is finally available here through dealer Tan Chong Motors.
