Seven upped

BMW ups the variants of 7 Series with the launch of the 730Li

By Andy Hum

BMW RECENTLY LAUNCHED the 730Li long-wheelbase luxury sedan at The Capella in Sentosa. Also introduced along with the car was the new 7 Series Privileges Plus Programme, which CarBuyer featured in Issue 137.

Owners of the new 7 Series have the privilege of being invited to exclusive events, access to a full-fledged concierge service, taking a catamaran yacht out to the seas or even flying high in private jets.

For those who prefer to be a bit more down to earth, the new 730Li is packed with enough technology to keep its passengers entertained, too. It comes with a 3.0-litre in-line six engine that makes 258bhp and gets the car from 0-100km/h in 7.8 seconds - enough to put a smile on your face.

It has BMW’s Integral Active Steering as standard, along with a new iDrive with navigation, an 80 GB hard disc on board, a DVD player, AUX-in and a USB port. Options include the rear-seat entertainment, massage seats and also side-view cameras.

The BMW 730Li is priced from $298,800 with COE.
