The ‘Amazing Lexus Hybrid E-Auction 2021’ happens this weekend in Singapore, and gives you the chance to name your own price for a Lexus ES 300h, IS 300h, or UX 250h

SINGAPORE – If you’ve wanted to name your own price for a car, here’s your chance. Lexus Singapore is having a sale for three of its hybrid models this weekend – with an auction format.

That simply means you get to state your own price for the car, and Certificate of Entitlement (COE).

Of course, naming your own price doesn’t mean you’ll get it, but if you place a realistic bid – our bet is within 10 to 15 percent of the list price – you have a strong chance of getting it At worst, the dealer will come back to you with their best offer.

What cars are on sale?

Three cars are up on the auction block, and they are three of the most popular Lexus models, all in full hybrid versions. In fact, all three cars on sale are rated highly by CarBuyer as some of the best choices in their respective segments.

The Lexus IS 300h is the new version of its midsized sports sedan, and it drives extremely well, while the hybrid system delivers more power for less cash, compared to the regular IS 300 petrol, or even luxury car competitors. It’s much improved over the old model, so much so we named it as one of the Best Executive Sedans in Singapore.

The Lexus UX 250h is the smallest Lexus SUV to date, so predictably it has sold very well due to the popularity of small SUVs. It doesn’t have a huge amount of space, but for couples or small families it distills the Lexus experience into a stylish, compact package. Again, it’s good enough that it made our list of the Best Small Luxury SUVs in Singapore.

The Lexus ES 300h is a luxury large sedan that has ginormous legroom, a very refined driving experience, and hybrid power paired with efficiency. It’s traditionally been one of the best-sellers for Lexus, and it’s easy to see why. How does it work?

Visit the auction sale site, place your bid for car and COE, put up a S$500 refundable deposit, then sit back and wait for the results. The auction runs from 1700h Friday 23 July to 2100h Monday 26 July.

It’s not the first auction type sale here – last year Borneo Motors (distributor for Lexus, Toyota, and Suzuki) launched auction sales for all three brands, including the first Lexus and Toyota auction sales.
