You can now rent Audi's E-Tron electric SUV in Singapore You can now rent...

The Audi On Demand short-term car rental service for Singapore now features the brand’s BEV SUV, the E-Tron, from S$368 a day

SINGAPORE

If you fancy dipping your toes into the world of electric motoring, you can take a spin in Audi’s fully-electric E-Tron sport utility vehicle (SUV) starting at S$368 a day, or S$888 for four days, by punching in the booking code ETRON at www.audiondemand.sg.

The car has recently been added to Audi’s short-term rental service – Audi On Demand – which debuted here in 2018. It’s basically an Audi smorgasboard and you can drive a car from the brand with four rings for as little as S$79 four hours. Our news story on the service’s launch explains it all.

The E-Tron available for rent is the top-dog of the current E-Tron range. We tested it back in June last year and pronounced it calm, quiet example of premium electric motoring – but one also capable of some shocking speed thanks to its 400hp electric motors.

The BEV (battery electric vehicle) is the latest addition to the Audi On Demand menu, which now features 15 cars. In the past you could even have a go at the rip-snorting Audi RS 4 Avant of 2019.

But the future is very obviously on the E-Tron. Since the ‘original’ E-Tron, Audi has also expanded the lineup here to include the E-Tron Sportback – we tested the less-powerful E-Tron Sportback 50 model here. Incoming to Singapore this year is the triple-motor 1,000Nm E-Tron S which we can’t wait for, and following it will be Audi’s most powerful car ever – the E-Tron GT. There will also be a smaller E-Tron Q4, and an A6-sized E-Tron sedan.
