The transformation of Kia, through the eyes of the new Kia Cerato

The new Kia Cerato embraces progress in design, safety and technology, and rises above the competition by raising standards from the previous generations

The new Kia Cerato has now arrived, and it marks the start of a transformative journey for the brand. The Cerato is Kia’s best-selling and most popular model in Singapore, and has sold over 18,000 units over four generations since its introduction here in 2004. The latest model embraces progress in design, safety and technology, and raises the standards set by the previous generations, bringing Kia to even greater heights.

It also marks the introduction of Kia’s new logo, which now resembles a handwritten signature of the brand name ‘Kia’. It signifies Kia’s promise to rise even higher, and deliver even more to its customers. And the new Cerato is a strong demonstration of that promise.

From its design, to its features and technologies, the new Cerato has progressed through the generations into a truly outstanding product that brings excellent value to its customers. It has also established a distinctive visual identity that makes it unmistakably Kia, evolving into the look that the Cerato presents today.

The new Cerato’s proportions, with its long and low look, gives it a sporty stance. The signature Tiger Nose grille emphasises that look further, and now blends into the LED headlights. They are complemented by the wide air intake below, flanked by the new aerodynamic side vents, and the overall look is one of strength and confidence.

At the rear, the LED taillights are connected by the slim reflector that runs across the width of the boot lid, and together they blend seamlessly with the tail spoiler, giving the new Cerato a cohesive and sophisticated look that is guaranteed to grab attention.

The new Cerato is available in L, EX and GT Line trims, and on the Cerato GT Line, the sporty design is accentuated by the addition of details such as the side skirts, a rear boot lid spoiler, red accent paint on the Tiger Nose grille, and 17-inch alloy wheels, further enhancing the car’s sense of aggression.

The interior showcases how Kia continues to raise the game, with the new Cerato embracing class-leading tech and safety. The 10.25-inch infotainment system comes integrated with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity as standard in the EX and GT Line, while the electronic parking brake with auto hold function enhances convenience even further.

The new Cerato also offers the very latest in safety for added assurance. It features Blind-Spot Collision Avoidance Assist, Smart Cruise Control, Forward Collision Avoidance Assist, Rear Cross-Traffic Collision Warning and more*, ensuring that you and your family are well-protected in the new Cerato.

The drive of the Cerato offers the ideal combination of comfort, sportiness and ease of use, with its 1.6-litre engine developing 126hp, and power delivered smoothly through its six-speed automatic transmission. Three drive modes – Normal, Eco and Sport – allow for the flexibility to suit your driving style.

The Kia Cerato has evolved through the ages, much like Kia as a brand. It represents the progressiveness of the brand, and how it always promises to improve with each generation and new model. The new Cerato certainly has risen above, and brought the brand to a whole new level, underlining Kia’s promise to inspire you as you move.
