BMW Bikes Go Commando

Singapore – BMW Motorrad has gone commando. No, it hasn’t shed any of its undergarments, but rather has held a mini road-show yesterday in a rather unlikely place: The Commando Formation’s 45th Anniversary and Family Day at Pasir Ris Camp.

Present at the show were three of the latest models, the R 1200 GS, R nineT and S 1000 R (read our review of the neck-aching supernaked here). Representatives from BMW Motorrad’s sole dealership, Performance Motors Limited, said the objective of the show was to expand brand awareness.

If you think about it, commandos make a good target audience for motorcycles like this, given both are about going to strange places, being adventurous and trying to be unstoppable.
