The main improvement in the RE003 is in the dry handling department over the RE002.

Triple and half groove: The combination of three main grooves and a sporty half groove optimises overall rigidity and quickens initial response the instant the steering wheel is turned.

Features of the RE003 include:

A new silica based compound with improved dry and wet handling performance
Wide centre rib for a rigid centre rib for precise handling by resisting lateral forces
Curved groove wall reinforcement for precise handling and cornering performance
Connection block for better traction and handling stability
Pulse groove for better drainage and anti-hydroplaning performance
Triple & Half Groove for increased overall rigidity, quick initial response and less irregular wear.
A more even road contact surface that provides better cornering, braking in wet conditions and even less irregular wear
