Land Rover/Range Rover’s second soft-top SUV is a fashionable baby crossover with 240hp
What: Range Rover Evoque Convertible
When: TBA
How much: TBA
Based on the swoopy Range Rover Evoque, it has a cloth top that folds electrically. It works on the move (at up to 50km/h) and takes 18 seconds to drop and 21 seconds to raise.
It will be launched with a 2.0-litre turbodiesel and turbo petrol engines. The 240 horsepower petrol version takes 8.6 seconds to get to 100km/h.
The only thing that comes to mind was the Nissan Murano Convertible, which was universally loathed, but Range Rover has done a soft-top before, so there’s hope yet.
