New Porsche 911 GTS arrives in Singapore, with five models available; prices start at S$618,888 before COE

SINGAPORE

Porsche has introduced the latest 911 GTS, which feature a power bump over the previous model, as well as the usual enhancements for the model that bridges the gap between the regular 911 and the hardcore GT3.

The GTS is powered by a 3.0-litre flat-six boxer turbo engine that develops 480hp, a 30hp increase over the previous GTS, and 570Nm of torque. Power is sent to the wheels via an eight-speed PDK transmission, although a seven-speed manual is also available for overseas markets.

The GTS also features a slightly modified version of the active suspension system found on the 911 Turbo, tuned to suit the GTS, and the car sits 10mm lower than the 911 Carrera S as a result. Other Turbo adaptations include the large brakes, while Porsche will also offer an optional ‘Lightweight Design’ package later this year, which is said to shave a further 25kg from the car.

Cosmetically, the GTS is distinguished from the regular 911s via its black styling elements that include the badges, bumper trims, exhaust tailpipe surrounds, and the Targa’s roof bar. The front and rear bumpers have also been lightly redesigned, while the interior is offered with an optional GTS package that brings red or grey upholstery stitching.

More interestingly, the GTS will also debut the latest Porsche Communication Manager (PCM), which includes the ‘Hey Porsche’ voice assistance feature, as well as Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity for the first time.

Porsche is offering the 911 GTS in five flavours, with a choice of two or four-wheel-drive, and coupe, convertible or Targa variants. The table below illustrates each model’s local pricing, before the addition of COE and options, as well as their respective performance figures.
