Lexus cars are the other big stars of Men In Black: International

To commemorate automobie movie stardom, Lexus is offering special deals on several Lexus models in Singapore, until July 19, 2019

UPDATED 21 June: Updates to ongoing MIB-Lexus promotions

The latest installment in the successful Men In Black (MIB) franchise premieres in Singapore on 13 June. After a seven-year hiatus, Men In Black: International, the fourth film in the series, returns to the silver screen with a new cast – and shiny new rides.

Lexus is the official automotive brand of the movie, and as such, its RX Hybrid and LX SUVs serve as the official fleet of MIB in this film. The star car though, which Tessa Thompson’s Agent M and Chris Hemsworth’s Agent H use to chase baddies around London, is a 2020 Lexus RC F.

We tested the car back in 2015 and were smitten by its intoxicating naturally-aspirated V8 engine, but the 2020 version is just that bit more special: it’s lighter, more powerful, and looks more aggressive. Shame the LTA-approved RC F you can buy won’t be able to fly though, as it does in the movie…

This spin-off of the series reunites Thompson and Hemsworth, who both starred in Thor: Ragnarok and Avengers: Endgame, and sees them defending the planet from extraterrestrial threats, as well as investigating a mole from within MIB itself.

The Lexus RC F allows even doddering, error-prone, cantankerous people to do this with ease

Past MIB installments featured cars with an image more ‘traditional’ for a clandestine organisation of sharply-dressed secret agents – big sedans like a 1987 Ford LTD, 2002 Mercedes-Benz E500, and 1964 Ford Galaxie 500 – but the smaller, sharper RC F is entirely fitting for the streets of Europe.

To commemorate this cinematic event, local distributor Borneo Motors has a number of deals and promotions worth checking out:

  • – Earn up to 250,000 travel miles, redeemable for a flight to London with DBS Credit Cards
  • – Enjoy up to $10,000 in discounts
  • – Limited Event Units for Lexus RX L from $277,800*
    – Additional $4,000 discount* on showroom display units
  • – Complimentary Limited Edition Ride-on LX Toy Car^ (worth $829) with every Lexus RX or Lexus RX L purchase
  • – A Lexus Intergalactic Carnival on 22-23 June at the Lexus Boutique with Men in Black caricature drawings for the entire family, Neuralyzer Hotdogs and Hive Popcorn

He also strongly believes any car can be a race car if you have a sufficient lack of self-preservation, which explains why he nearly flipped a Chinese van while racing it.
