The Singapore Vehicle Traders Association (SVTA) inducted its 25th Term Executive Committee at a ceremony on 26 July 2019

The Singapore Vehicle Traders Association (SVTA) held its 25th Term Executive Committee Swearing-In Ceremony on 26 July 2019, with a dinner banquet held at Orchard Hotel. The event was graced by guest-of-honour Mr. S Iswaran, Minister for Communications and Information, and Minister-in-charge of Trade Relations.

The new committee will serve for a two-year term, from June 2019 to June 2021. The incoming president of the SVTA’s Executive Committee during this term will be Mr Eddie Loo from Car Times Automobile Pte Ltd, who takes over from the outgoing president Mr Michael Lim.

In his commencement speech, Mr Loo cited challenges facing the automotive industry, such as the emergence of ride-sharing, and an impending global trade war threatening economic slowdown. He urged greater cooperation between association members, to work with the various stakeholders in the industry, such as the Land Transport Authority (LTA), in order to stay competitive and remain relevant in an evolving economy.
